| Welcome to the Admissions section of our website. Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School provides students with a strong academic program combined with incredible co-curricular opportunities. We offer the IB Diploma Program in Senior High and the Primary Years Program in the Elementary. This is supplemented by extensive co-curricular programs including athletics, fine and performing arts, outdoor education, opportunities to serve the community and speech and debate.
The campus is located on 160 acres just south of Calgary, Alberta. This beautiful setting provides ample space for academic and co-curricular pursuits, with no distractions. The School, built in 1971, includes modern science facilities, a new arts wing, a physical education centre, indoor and outdoor climbing walls, a nine-hole golf course and an observatory.
In this section of our website, you’ll find helpful admissions information about our School including testing details, cost and procedures that will assist you in your school selection. Admissions decisions at STS are based on whether the programs we offer are appropriate for the applicants and whether there is space availability at each grade level. Priority is given to qualified applicants with siblings at the School and/or those whose parents or grandparents are alumni.
