Middle School Fine Arts Teacher
1.0 FTE Temporary
(August 25, 2016 to March 24, 2017)

This teaching position will be a great fit for a well-rounded fine arts teacher.  The assignment will include Grade 7 Art and Design, Grade 7 and 8 Drama, and Grade 10 Film Studies.  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative teacher who appreciates working in a collaborative environment both within the department and across the curriculum.

The candidate will also have a strong understanding of the Alberta fine arts curriculum.  A knowledge of, and/or training in, the International Baccalaureate (Middle Years and Diploma Programme) fine arts is an asset.  In order to support student learning in a technology-rich environment, candidates should have experience using technology in the classroom.

This is a temporary 1.0 FTE position covering a maternity leave commencing August 25, 2016 and ending March 24, 2017.  A valid Alberta teaching certificate is essential. The job description can be viewed here.

Middle School Science Teacher
1.0 FTE Probationary

Teachers new to STS participate in a dynamic and supportive mentorship program.

This is a probationary 1.0 FTE teaching position commencing August 25, 2016 which could lead to a permanent contract upon a successful evaluation. A valid Alberta teaching certificate is essential.

Choral Program Accompanist
The Choral Program Accompanist is an accomplished pianist and is a vital contributor to the success of the STS choral program.  This contract position involves up to 200 hours annually (September through June) of rehearsal and performance time. The successful candidate is a person of impeccable integrity and the highest levels of ethical practice with attention to detail and is independent and self-directed but able to work within a team.  The full job description can be viewed here.
