The School offers a rich and robust co-curricular program, a technology-rich environment and enrolls approximately 670 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. In addition to a strong academic program, STS is the only independent school in Alberta to develop students’ global perspective through the International Baccalaureate Programme (PYP, MYP, and DP) and through membership in the Round Square international network of schools. Elementary Homeroom (Grade 6)
1.0 FTE Temporary Maternity Leave
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative teacher who appreciates working in a collaborative environment both within the division and across the curriculum. The candidate will also have a strong understanding of the Alberta Program of Studies. A knowledge of and/or training in the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Program (PYP) is an asset. In order to support student learning in a technology-rich environment, candidates should have experience using technology in the classroom.
Employees new to STS participate in a dynamic and supportive mentorship program. This is a temporary 1.0 FTE teaching position covering a maternity leave from April 10, 2017 to June 23, 2017. It is possible that the position could be renewed for September 2017 to March 2018.
