Over the years, Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School (STS) has experienced a very low attrition rate. With that in mind, we are continuing with a re-enrollment process that we feel best serves the vast majority of parents whose students will be continuing to attend STS next fall.
In order to make this process efficient for those returning next year, the $2,000 first tuition payment for 2016-2017 will appear on your February monthly statement. Please complete the 2016-2017 Registration Agreement online: www.sts.ab.ca/enrollment/reenrollment and submit the $2,000 first tuition payment by February 22, 2016. Those selecting an automated method of payment will be debited the $2,000 no later than March 10, 2016. The Registration Agreement allows you to select your preferred tuition payment plan, method of payment for tuition and fees, purchase Tuition Reimbursement Insurance and sign-up for busing. We require an updated Registration Agreement for all students each year. Failure to complete the Registration Agreement and pay the first tuition payment by February 22, 2016 could result in the loss of your child(ren)’s place(s) at STS for the 2016-2017 school year.
If your child(ren) will not be returning, please complete and submit the Online Request for Withdrawal Form www.sts.ab.ca/enrollment/withdrawal. Submitting the Request for Withdrawal prior to February 22, 2016 will remove the $2,000 tuition payment from your monthly statement.
We understand and appreciate that Alberta is currently experiencing very challenging economic conditions. If you are uncertain about re-enrollment due to circumstances such as a pending move or job loss, I would ask you to call our Director of Enrollment, Lydia Hawkins (403-938-8303), prior to February 22, 2016 to discuss the matter so that we can consider alternative arrangements. To access the application for Financial Assistance, please visit www.sts.ab.ca/Admissions/FA.
In order to be respectful of new families who are applying, we need to ascertain the space that we will have available in order to offer positions in a timely manner. Failure to do so harms the reputation of the School and may result in the loss of applicants to other schools.
We appreciate your efforts to respond by February 22, 2016 so that we can complete our offers to new applicants.
